Do thin clients need a server? Use thin clients on the cloud
A thin client is a system in which the computer uses the minimum performance, and the processing and recording of software and applications is done on the server side.
By using this thin client, you can use any computer at the same speed without worrying about the computer’s specifications, and since access can only be made from designated computers, there is little risk of information leaks.
Because thin clients have a low risk of information leaks, they are widely used by hospitals and public institutions and are known for their safety.
But thin clients also have drawbacks.
Because the server must be managed in-house, it is difficult to use thin clients without knowledgeable staff such as a server administrator or information systems officer.
If you want to use a thin client without managing a server, we recommend using DaaS (Desktop as a Service).
DaaS is not about putting applications or software on the cloud, but about putting the desktop environment on the cloud.
By downloading various applications and software into this cloud environment, you can use the services as if you were using a thin client.
DaaS is also known as cloud-based thin clients, and strictly speaking it is not a thin client, but because you can access the cloud-based desktop environment from various PCs and the DaaS environment can be centrally managed, you can recreate a thin client on the cloud.
If you want to handle thin clients on the cloud rather than on a server, we recommend DaaS.
